BJP Spokesperson Sandeepni Slams Naresh Chouhan Over Liquor Policy and Financial Crisis
1 min readShimla, January 13: BJP spokesperson Sandeepni Bhardwaj has countered Congress leader Naresh Chouhan’s statements, asserting that remarks by BJP leaders, including former CM Jairam Thakur, are always fact-based. Bhardwaj highlighted the state’s financial woes, stating that payments exceeding ₹1,000 crore for PWD contractors alone are pending since November 21, while other departments like IPH also face unpaid dues.
Criticizing the Congress government’s liquor policy, he questioned the collection and utilization of revenue from contractors, claiming that Shimla district alone has dues of ₹21 crore from December. He noted that contractors struggling with losses cannot meet these financial obligations.
Bhardwaj further accused the government of neglecting public demands, including delayed payments to contractors, pensioners, and employees. He also criticized the delay in appointing the Chairperson and members of the Women’s Commission, pointing out that 1,400 unresolved complaints have piled up due to non-functioning courts for two years.
The BJP spokesperson claimed that Naresh Chouhan appears to be the de facto leader defending the government amidst governance lapses, alleging that CM Sukhvinder Sukhu and his allies are pushing Himachal Pradesh backward.
