BJP Raises Concerns Over MP’s Absence Amidst Natural Disaster in Mandi; FIR Threat Looms

2 min read

Sundernagar, August 22: Despite the significant damage caused by the ongoing natural disaster in the Mandi district, Member of Parliament (MP) Pratibha Singh has been notably absent from the area. In response, the Himachal Pradesh BJP has launched a campaign against Pratibha Singh.

Rakesh Jamwal, a member of the State BJP Core Committee and MLA from Sundernagar, stated in a press conference held in Sundernagar that during this critical time of the disaster, Pratibha Singh, the MP representing the Mandi parliamentary constituency, is nowhere to be found. He mentioned that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, people will likely express their disapproval through their votes by filing FIRs against her.

He further commented on the situation, stating that despite the efforts of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda to provide relief during the disaster, the state government’s response to their efforts has been lackluster. However, even a simple thank you from the state government seems to be too much to expect. The state government appears to be hesitating even to express gratitude for their assistance.

Jamwal criticized the Congress Party for making irresponsible statements during these challenging circumstances. He advised the Congress leadership to refrain from making politically motivated statements during times of disaster. He emphasized that the MP Pratibha Singh has been absent during this critical time while her own Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Sukhkhoo, was present to provide relief measures.

He also mentioned that it is the people of the Mandi parliamentary constituency who have elected Pratibha Singh as their representative, and her absence during such crucial times will surely be reflected in the upcoming elections. Jambal urged that FIRs will likely be filed against her for being missing during times of crisis.

The people of the Mandi parliamentary constituency have chosen and sent Pratibha Singh as their representative, and her presence in the constituency should naturally boost the morale of the people. Jambal also advised Pratibha Singh to understand the plight of the people affected by the heavy rainfall in the area and empathize with them.

Despite the ongoing disaster and its aftermath, the State BJP Committee has raised concerns about Pratibha Singh’s absence and questioned her commitment to her constituents. The political repercussions of her absence are expected to become evident in the upcoming elections
