Shimla, Feb 18: Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur alleged that misleading figures were presented during the Assembly session and said BJP legislators staged protests in the well of the House after not being given time to respond. He claimed the party remains committed to the stand taken during the 15th Finance Commission, asserting that failure to secure revenue deficit grants is due to the state government’s inability to effectively present Himachal’s case.
Thakur accused the government of political posturing and economic mismanagement, stating that inaccurate data and policy decisions are causing financial losses to the state. Following the session’s conclusion, BJP MLAs also raised slogans against the government’s power policies and accused it of undermining public interests.
