In a dramatic turn of events, BJP legislators staged a protest outside the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday morning, just before the commencement of the session. Led by opposition leader and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, the BJP lawmakers held placards bearing the ten guarantees promised by the Congress, accusing the Sukhdev Singh Sukhu-led government of presenting a misleading budget.

Jairam Thakur addressed the gathering, asserting that the Sukhdev Singh Sukhu government’s inaugural budget is a guarantee of deceit. He claimed that none of the promised initiatives materialized, and the recent budget echoed the same assurances made in the previous budget. According to Thakur, it is a guarantee of plunder, and the government is attempting to misguide the people of Himachal Pradesh by presenting false budgets and figures.

The opposition leader accused the ruling government of being irresponsible in their responses within the assembly, criticizing the lack of truth in their statements. Tensions escalated as opposition members vehemently opposed the government’s alleged attempts to mislead the public with fabricated budgets and statistics.

Inside the assembly, chaos ensued as the opposition engaged in unruly behavior, responding vehemently to the allegations made by the BJP members. The session is off to a contentious start, with both sides exchanging heated arguments and accusations. The government, in turn, is expected to respond robustly to the opposition’s claims, setting the tone for a charged legislative session in Himachal Pradesh.
