Dr. Rajeev Bindal, BJP State President, criticized the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, alleging that the government is focused on staying in power rather than fulfilling promises made during the elections. He accused the government of misusing public funds and failing to implement the guarantees given to the people. Bindal pointed out that Congress had promised 1 lakh government jobs, free electricity, and financial aid to women, farmers, and the unemployed but has now raised electricity rates, imposed taxes on diesel and cement, and shut down schools and health institutions. He also accused the government of taking credit for central government projects like highways, tunnels, and housing schemes, despite them being part of the central government’s plans.
