Shimla, Sept. 03 : BJP leaders, including Mandal President Sanjeev Chauhan, candidate Sanjay Sood, State Media Coordinator Karn Nanda, and others, visited Ramchandra Chowk near Benmaur Ward to assess heavy damage caused by a recent landslide. They urged the administration to provide immediate relief to affected residents and maintain 24-hour monitoring of the vulnerable site.
Candidate Sanjay Sood highlighted that similar damage occurred last year, and previous repair work, costing millions, was poorly executed. He demanded a thorough investigation and accountability for those responsible for maintenance.
Media Coordinator Karn Nanda noted delays in repair due to coordination issues between PWD and the municipal corporation. He requested that residents still living in the affected area be provided government housing for safe relocation, reflecting a key demand of the local community.
