1 min read

Shimla: BJP’s former minister and MLA, Sukhram Chaudhary, has strongly condemned Congress Minister Jagat Negi’s remarks against BJP National President JP Nadda. He stated that the Congress minister is trying to mislead the public without any factual basis. Chaudhary added that it does not suit a senior leader like Negi to speak falsely.

He pointed out that Himachal Pradesh has received ₹14,000 crore from the central government in just one year, which is not a small amount. The state is receiving substantial funds for various sectors, yet the current government is trying to hide the truth from the public. Chaudhary questioned whether the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and ministers of the state have acknowledged the central government’s continuous financial support.

Chaudhary highlighted that ₹288 crore has been allocated under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to construct 93,000 houses in Himachal. He also mentioned that the central government has approved ₹1 lakh crore for increasing farmers’ income and food security, which will benefit farmers in Himachal as well.

He further informed that a Bulk Drug Park is being constructed in Una district’s Haroli at a cost of ₹2,000 crore, with basic infrastructure such as electricity, water, and roads already in place. Additionally, the construction of the PGI Satellite Center is progressing rapidly, with an OPD block in its final stages. The project is worth approximately ₹400 crore. Chaudhary urged Jagat Negi to note these facts and speak with proper information in the future.
