BJP Insulted National Flag, Reveals Its True Face: Congress Ministers

Shimla, July 27, 2025 – In a joint statement, Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil and Agriculture Minister Prof. Chander Kumar have strongly condemned BJP workers for allegedly insulting the national flag and misbehaving with Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi in Thunag, Seraj Assembly Constituency.

They accused BJP of orchestrating a shameful act by throwing shoes, slippers, and black cloth at Minister Negi’s vehicle, which displayed the Tricolour. The ministers said the incident was not just an attack on a senior minister, but a disgrace to the nation’s pride. “The BJP’s ‘Tiranga Yatras’ stand exposed as mere eyewash,” they remarked.

The ministers expressed dismay at the political degeneration and clarified that the temporary relocation of the Forestry College from Thunag was a safety measure, not a political decision. They added that BJP was politicizing relief efforts and ignoring the plight of farmers and horticulturists hit by recent natural disasters.

They emphasized that Minister Negi’s visit aimed at assessing damages for a relief package and criticized the BJP for obstructing governance with petty politics.
