BJP Criticizes Congress Government for Administrative Errors
2 min readSolan: BJP State Vice President and former minister Rajiv Sejwal has criticized the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government for its frequent administrative mistakes. Sejwal highlighted a recent blunder involving the issuance of an incorrect notification in the Shillai Assembly constituency of Sirmaur district, where a Block Development Office was mistakenly announced instead of the intended Block Education Office.
Sejwal pointed out that such errors are common under the current administration, causing confusion and frustration among the public while the government remains indifferent. The recent incident occurred when the District Rural Development Agency, Sirmaur, acting on the directions of the Chief Minister’s Joint Secretary, issued an order to the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Shillai to explore the possibility of opening a Block Development Office in Ronhat. This order also called for feedback from nearby gram panchayats.
The erroneous notification led to widespread celebration among the local residents, who believed it marked a significant step toward regional development. However, the jubilation was short-lived as it was soon discovered that the announcement was a typographical error. The Chief Minister’s office confirmed the mistake and assured that it would be corrected promptly.
During a visit to Sirmaur on March 13, Chief Minister Sukhu had originally announced the opening of a Block Education Office in Ronhat. However, a clerical error resulted in the office being mislisted as a Block Development Office. Local MLA and Minister for Industries, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour, and Employment, Harshvardhan Singh Chauhan, clarified the mistake and confirmed that the necessary procedures for establishing the Block Education Office would be completed soon.
