BJP, Cong & CPI(M) candidates file nominations in Shimla, Theog & Jubbal Kotkhai

Shimla, Oct 21 – The Ruling BJP candidates Suresh Bhardwaj, Ravi Mehta, and Sanjay Sood, Chetan Bragta and Ajay Shyam, Congress candidates Rohit Thakur, Vikramaditya, Anirudh Singh and Harish Janarth and CPI(M) candidate Rakesh Singha filled nomination for Kasumpti, Shimla Rural, Shimla, Urban, Jubbal Kotkhai and Theog Assembly Constituencies in the state on the fourth day of filling nomination.

BJP candidates from Shimla district Suresh Bhardwaj, Sanjay Sood, and Ravi Mehta filed their nominations at DC Office in Shimla.

Suresh Bhardwaj took out the roadshow from Lakkar Bazar, Ravi Mehta from Chaura Maidan, and Sanjay Sood from Naaz Chowk to DC Office. BJP candidates Chetan Bragta and Ajay Shyam also filled nominations at Jubbal Kotkhai and Theog. Congress candidate Rohit Thakur filed a nomination for a fifth term from party stronghold Jubbal Kotkhai.

The nomination ceremony of Rohit Thakur the grandson of chief minister Thakur Ram Lal was held in Kotkhai Friday and was attended by a large number of people. Only CPI(M) MLA in the state Rakesh Singha filed his nomination for a third term from Jubbal Kotkhai. Singha was selected from Shimla in 1993 and in 2017 from Theog Assembly. A large number of party workers joined the nomination function of Singha.
