BJP complains of MCC violation by Congress
1 min readShimla, Nov 21 – Ruling BJP has registered a complainant Monday alleging Congress party for MCC violation.
In the complaint, Dinesh Chauhan, Co-Convenor of BJP Legal Cell said that there is a possibility of violation of MCC by the Congress.
BJP’s contested candidates, who are working in their respective constituencies have expressed apprehension that Congress workers are trying to enter the strong room.
Congress workers are setting up tents outside the strong rooms across the state in violation of the guidelines of the Election Commission.
In the letter, the example of Nahan assembly constituency was given in which it is feared that Congress leaders are trying to enter the strong room along with ITBP jawans.
The BJP Legal Cell has requested the Chief Electoral Officer that the strictest action should be taken on this incident so that the Congress workers could not tamper with the EVMs.
BJP leaders are claiming that it would form the next Government in the state, however, if it would fall short of seats in 14 Assembly its rebels and independent candidates may join hands with the party.
Importantly, a number of ruling party rebels may push to the third position and both the parties are keeping its rebel in good trust and humor as their chances to elect in the Election is very high.
Six Election officials were suspended on November 12 by the election commission as an EVM machine was recovered from private vehicles.
