BJP Chief Rajeev Bindal Slams Congress Govt for Scrapping Over 55% Himuda Posts

Shimla, September 26 – BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal lashed out at the Congress government, calling it “anti-unemployment” after the scrapping of 327 out of 633 posts in the Himuda department — over 55% of the total. He said the government has set a new record in job destruction, questioning why positions were eliminated while an advisor’s post was created for a single individual, asking “Yeh kaun mai ka laal hai?”

Bindal alleged that the Congress first earned the image of a “lockdown government” by shutting schools, colleges, patwar circles, and institutions, and is now closing entire departments. He pointed out that in several categories, the government achieved a “100% strike rate” in scrapping posts — including Clerks (24/24), Divisional Accountants (7/7), Steno Typists (9/9), and Surveyors (8/8).

He further criticized the closure of the Himuda division in Sirmaur, one of Himachal’s backward districts, accusing Congress leaders of being “yes men” to the government. Bindal said instead of creating new divisions, the government is snatching away opportunities from Sirmaur.

The BJP chief also accused the government of eliminating 1.5 lakh posts through a single notification and reducing opportunities to low-paying “Mitra” jobs like Rogi Mitra and Van Mitra, while regular recruitments and outsourcing have been halted. He said the youth are being reduced to mere trainees instead of receiving meaningful employment.
