BJP Blaming Congress for Its Own Mistakes: Harikrishna Himral
2 min readShimla, 28th June 2024 – Harikrishna Himral, Vice President of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Party, has accused BJP leaders of unethical power hunger, forcing the public in three other assembly constituencies to endure untimely by-elections. He questioned the intentions and policies of BJP leaders, stating that their fear of defeat has led them to release separate manifestos for each constituency in a futile attempt to mislead the public.
Himral highlighted the declining popularity of BJP at both the national and state levels. He criticized BJP leaders for suddenly remembering development in the face of impending defeat in the Nalagarh by-election and issuing manifestos to deceive the public once again. He claimed that the BJP’s actions have stalled the developmental efforts initiated by the Sukhu-led Congress government.
Himral emphasized that the educated voters of Nalagarh are aware of who is truly responsible for the by-elections. He pointed out that the independent MLA, elected to represent the people’s interests for five years, was lured into joining the BJP, leading to his resignation and the subsequent by-election. The people of Nalagarh, he asserted, will never forgive the BJP for this unethical behavior.
He further stated that a decisive defeat of the BJP candidate in the election would be the people’s verdict. Himral expressed confidence that the people of Nalagarh would support the democratically elected Sukhu government, which has implemented several historic decisions, such as providing Rs. 1500 to women, reinstating the old pension scheme, and reserving 30% quota for women in the police force.
Himral concluded by saying that the enlightened voters of Nalagarh will endorse the Congress government’s initiatives and deliver a strong lesson to the BJP through the election results.
