Shimla, Feb 13: BJP State Vice President and former minister Dr. Rajeev Saizal has accused the Congress government of mismanagement and corruption, alleging misuse of ₹8.75 crore from the PM Gati Shakti scheme for constructing a boundary wall for a private company in Baddi.

Dr. Saizal stated that the Industries Department, through the Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (HPSIDC), is constructing a 2-km wall along the Ratta river for Indo Farm Equipment Ltd. under the ₹14 crore project, with ₹3 crore already disbursed. He questioned why public infrastructure funds were diverted for a private firm’s benefit while the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority received only ₹2 lakh for industrial development.

He further alleged violations in land allotment, stating that the company, granted land in January 2022 to establish an auto park, was required to start production within 24-30 months and invest ₹150 crore of the proposed ₹500 crore. However, no industrial activity has begun, and the government has taken no action to reclaim the land.

Dr. Saizal accused Congress of double standards, saying, “They blame BJP for corruption in the Assembly while engaging in questionable practices outside.” He also highlighted that out of ₹42 crore allocated under PM Gati Shakti, ₹35 crore was designated for an IT park in Palampur, and only ₹7 crore for Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial development.
