BJP Accuses Congress Govt of Anti-People Policies, Job Cuts, and Rising Debt

Shimla, Jan 31: BJP State Media In-Charge Karan Nanda criticized the Congress government, calling it anti-people, anti-employees, anti-youth, anti-women, and anti-farmers. He accused the government of failing to fulfill its 10 guarantees, including job creation, instead eliminating over one lakh jobs in two years.

He highlighted the recent decision to scrap electricity board jobs, with a proposal to cut 7,376 positions, including an immediate removal of 600 posts. Nanda also pointed out the government’s increasing debt, reaching ₹30,080 crore in two years, and warned of upcoming heavy taxes in rural areas. He claimed employees are uncertain about their salaries, and the state’s financial crisis resembles Sri Lanka’s situation.
