Bishop Cotton School, Shimla Celebrates Remarkable Academic and Sporting Achievements

In this year’s ISC Class XII board examinations, Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, witnessed a remarkable achievement with a 100% pass rate and an average of 83%. The batch not only excelled academically but also showcased outstanding performance in sports, marking them as the most successful sporting year group in recent memory, clinching three major tournament victories. Manan Rawat emerged as the ISC topper with an impressive score of 92.8%, demonstrating excellence not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities. Manan’s accomplishments include exceptional results across subjects, summiting the 20,000ft peak of Mentok Dengri with the school mountaineering team, and securing victory in the prestigious Goldstein cricket tournament. Yatish Bansal, another standout performer, achieved 88% and displayed exemplary leadership qualities as the popular School Captain.

Meanwhile, the Class X batch comprising 71 boys also achieved a perfect 100% pass rate with an average score of 80%. This batch, unique for its focus on all three sciences, saw toppers Devansh Singla (96.6%) and Aarav Wadaskar (96%) leading the academic front. Aarav’s achievement extends beyond academics as he secures a coveted place in the Harvard University summer program in the USA.

Director Simon Weale extended heartfelt congratulations to all the boys, highlighting their resilience and drive. He expressed pride in the Class XII boys, who are set to embark on their journeys to universities worldwide, and commended the Class Xs for overcoming pandemic challenges to emerge as a robust and promising batch. He also noted that the Class XI cohort this year would be the largest since the turn of the century, signaling continued growth and excellence at Bishop Cotton School.
