Bindal Calls ‘Khatakhat Model’ Failure in Himachal

Shimla, March 1, 2025: Himachal Pradesh BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal strongly criticized Congress Party In-Charge Rajni Patil’s statement, alleging that the Congress government has sidelined its own senior leaders and disrespected elected MLAs. He claimed that Congress legislators rejected the party’s Rajya Sabha candidate due to their external origins, leading to the party’s defeat, which Congress is now trying to blame on the BJP.

Bindal further accused Congress of governance failure, stating that the much-hyped “Khatakhat Model” has collapsed in Himachal, leaving people suffering due to mismanagement. He highlighted the government’s unfulfilled promises, including the pending ₹1500 monthly allowance for women and the lack of 1 lakh government jobs and 5 lakh employment opportunities.

He also alleged financial mismanagement, claiming that while the central government continues to support Himachal Pradesh, the state government has been misusing funds instead of utilizing them for public welfare.
