Bindal Accuses Sukhu Govt of Intimidation Ahead of By-Elections
1 min readShimla, 5 July 2024: BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal has accused the Congress government, led by CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, of resorting to intimidation tactics as the by-elections approach. Bindal alleged that Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, Panchayat guards, IPH workers, and PWD workers are being gathered and threatened, indicating the government’s fear of losing the elections in Dehra.
Bindal stated that the BJP’s election campaign is gaining momentum with door-to-door outreach across all booths. He asserted that the recent police actions in Nalagarh and Hamirpur suggest the Congress is losing ground. He expressed confidence that the people of Dehra support BJP candidate Hoshiyar Singh and want a representative who is accessible and dedicated to their local needs, unlike those who obstruct development.
Bindal also questioned the CM’s decision to close two SDM offices, BDO offices, and PHCs in his in-laws’ area, accusing Sukhu of making false promises for votes. He recalled that the BJP had won all four Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 elections despite Sukhu’s alleged falsehoods, and he predicted similar success in the upcoming by-elections in Hamirpur, Dehra, and Nalagarh.
