Bilaspur Firing Incident Exposes Complete Collapse of Law and Order in Himachal: Jairam

Mandi, March 15, 2025: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition, Jairam Thakur, launched a scathing attack on the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government, accusing it of failing to maintain law and order in the state. Referring to the recent Bilaspur firing incident, Thakur stated that the situation in the state has completely deteriorated due to the government’s negligence.

Jairam Thakur expressed concern over the fact that this is the second firing incident in Bilaspur within a year, yet the state police failed to take strict action after the first incident. He demanded a fair and transparent investigation and strict action against the culprits to prevent such incidents in the future.

Thakur also criticized the Chief Minister for misusing the CID, alleging that instead of preventing criminal activities, the intelligence department is being used to spy on opposition leaders and their offices. He mocked the government, claiming that the CID is busy tracking samosa vendors and leaking such petty information to the media, while the safety of the people remains compromised.

The Leader of Opposition made these remarks during his visit to Janjheli and Thunag Mandal in the Seraj Assembly constituency, where he attended an introductory meeting of BJP office bearers. He congratulated the newly elected BJP members and urged them to work dedicatedly for the party’s growth.
