Calls It Threat to Federal Structure
Dharamshala, Feb 26: Senior BJP leader and former Industries Minister Bikram Thakur criticised the state government over the reported confrontation between Himachal Police and Delhi Police in Shimla, calling it an attack on law and constitutional norms. In a statement, he alleged political interference and claimed that action against Delhi Police personnel reflected misuse of authority and damaged the state’s administrative credibility at the national level. Thakur urged the government to maintain neutrality, ensure proper coordination between agencies, and take action against officials responsible for escalating tensions. He added that the opposition would continue to raise concerns over law and order and institutional functioning in the state.
