Bikram Thakur Slams Congress Government for Hindering Development in Jaswan-Paragpur

1 min read

Dharamsala, 4th February – Former Industry Minister and Jaswan-Paragpur MLA, Bikram Thakur, has strongly criticized the Congress government, accusing it of lacking a development roadmap. He claimed that under the previous BJP government, several new offices were opened in Jaswan-Paragpur and across the state for public convenience, but the Congress government, driven by political malice, immediately shut them down upon taking power.

Thakur argued that planning meetings should serve to accelerate development, but the Congress government lacks a solid vision, focusing instead on show politics. He questioned how many development projects approved in previous planning meetings have actually been initiated.

He further accused the Congress government of obstructing the work initiated by the BJP, such as the establishment of new SDM offices, tehsil offices, and health centers. Thakur suggested that the Chief Minister should focus on fulfilling constitutional duties rather than indulging in political revenge.

Thakur also raised concerns about nepotism and backdoor entries in government appointments, alleging that the Congress government was giving jobs to the relatives and associates of Congress leaders without following proper procedures, while qualified youths were left unemployed.

He also criticized the government for increasing taxes and prices, which, according to him, has burdened the people, and promised that the BJP would expose the Congress government’s corruption.
