Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap chaired the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Governing Board meeting in Shimla. He emphasized enhancing productivity to boost farmers’ economic well-being and directed officials to implement transformational initiatives under ATMA.
The ₹2.94 crore annual plan for 2025-26 was approved, focusing on training, exposure visits, exhibitions, and farmer workshops. Discussions were also held on the National Natural Farming Mission, with a ₹3.26 crore budget for 2025-26. Under the mission, 50 farmer clusters will be formed in Shimla district, each with two community resource persons (CRPs) to train farmers on natural farming techniques.
