Barbaric Act: In-Laws Shave Woman’s Head, Parade Her in Village in Himachal Pradesh

Hamirpur, September 15: A shocking incident has come to light in Hamirpur where the in-laws of a married woman forcibly cut her hair and paraded her in the village with a blackened face. In response, the police in Bhoraanj have filed an FIR (First Information Report) and initiated an investigation. This incident reportedly occurred 15 days ago.

It is being said that arrests of the accused could happen soon in this case. Currently, the victim woman is undergoing a medical examination. Questions are being raised about the delay in registering the case as it happened 15 days ago.

However, it is being said that no case was filed because both parties reached a compromise. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, clearly showing the woman’s hair being forcibly cut and her being paraded in the entire village with her face blackened.

Reportedly, the woman left her home without informing anyone and returned four months later. Upon her return, her in-laws and some villagers blackened her face and recorded a video, which was then widely shared on social media.

SP Hamirpur, Dr. Akriti Sharma, stated that the video came to the police’s attention through the media. An FIR has been filed at Bhoraanj police station in this case, and the woman’s statement is being recorded. Strict action will be taken in this case, and under CRPC 154-C, the woman’s statement has been recorded.
