Balanced Diet Awareness in Hamirpur

Hamirpur, September 29 – As part of the 8th National Nutrition Month, a program was organized in Gram Panchayat Changar under the Hamirpur Block, presided over by Panchayat Pradhan Anil Sharma. Dr. Asha from the AYUSH Department attended as the chief guest and advised women to adopt a balanced diet while minimizing sugar, salt, oil, and refined flour consumption. She also highlighted menstrual hygiene and the role of empowered women in building a strong society.

Child Development Protection Officer Tilak Raj assessed the nutritional status of women and children by measuring their weight and height, while also spreading awareness on BMI and maternal-child nutrition with the message “Sahi Poshan, Desh Roshan.” Anganwadi workers showcased traditional and nutritious recipes, with active participation from local representatives, women’s groups, and community members.
