‘Bade Bhai Sahab’ Staged at Auckland House on Children’s Day
1 min readShimla, November 15, 2024: On Children’s Day, Auckland House School for Boys hosted a cultural program featuring an adaptation of Munshi Premchand’s short story, ‘Bade Bhai Sahab’, in collaboration with the Department of Language and Culture. The event paid homage to the late playwright Manohar Singh on his death anniversary, highlighted by a documentary on his life and works. Distinguished guests included Smaraki Samantaroy, Director of Auckland House School Society, Mr. Reuben T. John, Principal of Auckland House School for Boys, and renowned scholar Mr. Shriniwas Joshi.
Directed by Naresh Mincha, who also portrayed the elder brother alongside Sohan Kapoor, the play captivated the audience for 50 minutes, leaving a lasting impression and enriching students’ appreciation of drama, theater, and literature.
