Awareness Drive for Sakhi One-Stop Centers and Child Helpline: Anupam Kashyap

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap chaired a district-level review meeting on Sakhi One-Stop Centers, urging increased awareness about these centers that provide assistance to women and girls facing violence. Services include medical, legal, and psychological support. A new center is proposed in Rampur, and related formalities are being expedited.
The meeting also reviewed the functioning of the Child Helpline, which received 198 complaints this financial year, with action taken on all. Awareness campaigns about the 24×7 helpline (1098) were emphasized, targeting vulnerable children. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2025.
