Award winning film director conducts session at Shoolini Univ

School of Journalism and New Media, in collaboration with the filmmaking club Cinedicate at Shoolini University organised an interactive session for the university students titled “Frames and Stories.”
The key speaker of the session was National Award-winning film director, Ojaswwee Sharma, celebrated for his remarkable contributions to the Indian film industry. He is a well-known film director, producer, and screenwriter from India, who was honoured with the prestigious National Award, ‘Rajat Kamal,’ for his film ‘Admitted’ at the 68th National Film Awards by the Government of Bharat.
Prof Vipin Pubby Director School of Journalism and New Media welcomed the guest and said this event is organised  to nurturing creativity, innovation, and empowerment among the students.
“Frames and Stories” offered a unique platform that bridged the diverse realms of cinema, journalism, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and acting, all converging into one enriching experience. The highlight of the event was the interactive panel discussions, providing students with a rare opportunity to engage in direct conversations with Ojaswwee Sharma. His profound insights and unwavering passion for the craft resonated deeply with the audience, leaving an indelible mark of inspiration.
The filmmaking panel took center stage, delving into the intricate art of cinematic storytelling. From conceiving an idea to the final flourish in post-production, this panel elucidated the transformation of imagination into captivating moving images, enriching students with a profound understanding of the filmmaking process. The Journalism Panel brought together a panel of accomplished journalists to explore the symbiotic relationship between media and cinema. This riveting discussion not only showcased the media’s role in shaping public perception but also emphasised how cinema serves as a potent medium for communication.
The LGBTQ+ Panel was an interesting discussion on inclusivity and diversity in cinema. Ojaswwee and the panelists shed light on the significance of authentic LGBTQ+ representation, acknowledging cinema’s power to challenge stereotypes and foster acceptance. In another panel named as The Actors Panel delved into the art of acting, unraveling the intricacies of bringing characters to life on the silver screen. Aspiring actors in the audience received valuable insights into the craft, nurturing their dreams of becoming thespians.
Ojaswwee gave several valuable lessons to the students in the frames and stories event. He mentioned that he would support the students in every way possible and also give them a chance to work in his films, on camera, and behind the camera. “In the world of cinema and beyond, remember two guiding principles: Be punctual and work hard at whatever you do. Dedication and commitment are the cornerstones of success” he added.
Nihit Srivastava, President of Cinedicate, said the filmmaking club eagerly anticipates hosting more events that inspire and empower the talented students of Shoolini University.
The session was concluded by the vote of thanks by Prof Vipin Pubby. In his remarks he said  events like “Frames and Stories” underscore university’s commitment to provide  a platform for students to interact with industry luminaries, explore their passions, and broaden their horizons.

The session was attended by students, faculty members, and avid film enthusiasts, who were captivated by Ojaswwee Sharma’s presence and his willingness to share his wealth of knowledge.
