Auckland House Boys Qualify for State-Level Chess Championship

Shimla, July 14, 2025: Two promising students from Auckland House School Boys, Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta, have qualified for the State-Level Chess Championship after their stellar performance at the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025, held at Nangal Devi, Theog under the aegis of the District Shimla Chess Association.

Jayesh bagged the Gold Medal in the Under-13 category, while Samarth secured the Silver Medal in the Under-17 category, competing against nearly 100 participants from across the district. Their qualification for the state-level competition reflects their sharp intellect and consistent hard work.

The school has extended its best wishes to both players for continued success at the state level.
