Musical Dance Drama Pays Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Shimla, March 29, 2026:
A musical dance drama based on 10 poems of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee was आयोजित at Gaiety Theatre, Shimla under the direction of noted artist Poonam Sharma.
Organized as part of the Atal Swaranjali series, the performance beautifully blended poetry, music, and classical dance, captivating the audience. The प्रस्तुति also included elements from Ramdhari Singh ‘Dinkar’s’ iconic work Rashmirathi, marking its 75th year.
Artists of Kala Sangam delivered powerful performances on Vajpayee’s famous lines like “Haar Nahi Manunga” and “Aao Phir Se Diya Jalayein”, leaving a lasting impact.
Organisers stated that such cultural initiatives help preserve literary heritage, inspire youth, and promote national values through art and expression.
