Arrest Made in Connection with the Murder of Traveler on Nalagarh-Bharatgarh Route

A suspect has been apprehended by the police in connection with the murder of a traveler on the Nalagarh-Bharatgarh route. The accused, identified as Mohammad Shanu, son of Aslam from Hasan Ganj Tehsil, Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested in Ludhiana. The case will be presented in court for further remand.
Under the leadership of DSP Lakhveer Singh, the police team has successfully resolved the murder case. According to the information, the suspect, Shanu, had been involved in regular altercations due to his alcohol addiction. In the incident that took place late Monday night, he assaulted his companion, Navin Kumar, a resident of Sitamani, Bihar, and caused his demise. Afterward, he pelted stones at Kumar’s head, leading to his on-the-spot death.
ASP Ramesh Sharma explained that an arrest has been made in the murder case, and the accused, known for his habitual alcohol consumption and altercations with people, was apprehended. He has been brought from Ludhiana and will be presented in court for further legal proceedings.
