Army Foils Pakistan’s Attack, People Stand with PM Modi: Jairam

Shimla, 08 May 2025 – Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur praised India’s armed forces for successfully neutralizing Pakistan’s attempted strikes on 15 Indian cities. He stated that the military has once again proven its might and warned Pakistan against testing the strength of “New India,” which retaliates firmly under PM Modi’s leadership. He expressed confidence that every act of aggression by Pakistan would be met with a resolute response, emphasizing the nation’s united support for Modi and global recognition of India’s right to self-defense.

In a strong political attack on the Himachal government, Thakur criticized CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for hiking bus fares, calling it an unjust burden on the common people. “HRTC is a lifeline for ordinary citizens. This fare hike shows the insensitivity of the government towards the economic distress of the public,” he said, urging the Congress-led state government to reverse the decision.
