Applications for recognition and renewal of private schools by April 20: Deputy Director

Dharamshala, March 9: The Deputy Director of Schools, Elementary Education, has informed the managers and heads of all private schools that, as per the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2011, applications have been invited for recognition for the academic session 2026-31 and for renewal for the year 2026-27 in Kangra district. Applications will be accepted solely online, and no offline applications will be accepted. To renew recognition, one must log in to the website www.emerginhimachal.in . Schools with classes 1st to 5th must submit their applications online to the respective BEEO along with the prescribed fee. Schools with classes 6th to 8th must submit their applications online to the DDEE, Kangra, along with the prescribed fee. The deadline for applications has been extended to April 20, 2026. After that, online applications will be scrutinized. In the 2026-27 academic year, only schools with departmental recognition certificates will be able to admit students. Schools operating without a recognition or renewal certificate will face legal action.
