APG Shimla University Celebrates Cultural Heritage with ‘Jashn-e-Sanskriti

Shimla, September 24 – APG Shimla University hosted a vibrant cultural event, ‘Jashn-e-Sanskriti,’ as part of its Hindi Literature Festival, celebrating Indian art, culture, and literature. The program featured various artistic presentations by students and teachers from different states, including ghazals, plays, poetry recitations, and discussions on the significance of Hindi.

The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Punjabi University Secretary Gurdev Singh Bindra. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan emphasized the importance of Hindi as a unifying language that connects all Indians. He noted that Hindi is the pride of India and that its global recognition is growing.

Students showcased their talents through captivating performances, while the university’s drama society presented a play highlighting the relevance of Hindi in modern society. APG Shimla University’s Chancellor, Engineer Suman Vikrant, expressed his joy over the successful event, stating that it aims to preserve and promote Indian art and culture among the youth.
