29 April 2025, Delhi/Himachal Pradesh: Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, questioning its repeated defense of Pakistan and silence over terror attacks in India. Addressing the media, Thakur asked, “Why does the Congress speak in Pakistan’s language? Why does its blood not boil when innocent Indians are killed?”
Thakur said, “Pakistan is the only country in the world where terrorist funding is part of state policy. It derives pleasure from the bloodshed of Indians and orchestrates repeated terror attacks in India. Yet Congress leaders seem compelled to defend Pakistan, even echoing Islamabad’s statements. Is the party blind to the blood of innocent Indian citizens shed in these attacks?”
He slammed Congress leaders like Saifuddin Soz for allegedly supporting Pakistan’s denial of involvement in attacks, questioning whether India should now start believing Pakistan’s justifications.
Thakur reminded that when India carried out surgical strikes in response to terrorism, Congress raised doubts. “Even today, when another terror attack shakes the country, the Congress questions India and sympathizes with Pakistan,” he said.
Referring to PM Modi’s stance on national security and the nullification of the Indus Water Treaty, Thakur asked why the Congress did nothing during its rule. “Why did their leaders not act, and why are they now voicing pro-Pakistan sentiments?” he questioned.
He further criticized Congress leaders from Karnataka and Maharashtra for making controversial remarks, asking whether they stood with India or with Pakistan. He concluded by demanding accountability from the Congress high command for repeated “anti-national” statements by its leaders.
