Anurag Thakur Criticises Congress Over Protest at India AI Summit

Shimla, February 20, 2026: Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur criticised the Congress party over its protest during the India AI Summit in Delhi, calling it politically motivated and harmful to India’s global image. He alleged that while the world recognises India’s growing technological leadership, the opposition chose to create disruption instead of supporting national progress.

Thakur stated that Congress politics has become limited to opposition and protest, accusing the party of undermining India’s achievements on international platforms. He said the summit reflected India’s rising status in innovation and artificial intelligence, and any attempt to disturb such events damages the country’s reputation rather than the government.
