Anurag Thakur Blames State Govt for Delays in Himachal Railway Projects

Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur has criticised the Himachal Pradesh government for delaying key railway projects due to lack of cooperation. Citing a written reply from the Railway Ministry in Parliament, he said the state has not released its committed share of ₹1,843 crore for the Bhanupalli–Bilaspur–Beri line, despite ₹5,252 crore already spent by the Centre.
Thakur said land acquisition is also lagging, with only 82 of 124 hectares handed over, slowing construction work. He highlighted delays in three major railway projects covering 214 km, as well
