Convenor of ACF and former Shimla Deputy Mayor Tekinder Singh Panwar said that the forum was regularly raising this issue of corruption in Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJNPL ).
He alleged that a contract has been awarded to favour a particular person by the previous BJP government escalating the project cost from Rs. 250 crores to Rs. 500 crores.
He claimed the tender process could not be decided. The former Deputy Mayor said that SJPNL could not handle the award tendering process and Board of directors of the company was unable to govern the water supply scheme under the urban development department.
He demanded the firm should be disbanded as the process of tender and execution of a public debt government scheme could not be run by the company constituted under companies act by the previous government .
