Another Historic Step Towards Women Empowerment: Rajeev Bindal

Shimla,, Feb 20 : BJP Himachal Pradesh President Dr. Rajeev Bindal congratulated Rekha Gupta on becoming the new Chief Minister of Delhi, calling it a historic step towards women’s empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr. Bindal emphasized that PM Modi has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to women’s upliftment. He stated that the past 10 years have seen unprecedented initiatives for women’s welfare, which were not possible under previous governments. He reiterated that BJP firmly believes that national progress is impossible without empowering 50% of the population—women.
Highlighting key achievements, Dr. Bindal noted that schemes like Ujjwala Yojana and Gruhini Suvidha Yojana have provided gas stoves to millions of women, freeing them from smoke-related health hazards. He also praised Modi government’s initiatives through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), which have been instrumental in making women financially independent.
He further credited Modi government for ensuring justice for Muslim women by abolishing Triple Talaq, a move strongly opposed by Congress and other parties for vote-bank politics.
Dr. Bindal stated that BJP has once again set a benchmark in women’s empowerment by appointing a female Chief Minister in Delhi. He expressed confidence that Rekha Gupta, who began her political career through Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and university elections, will play a crucial role in the development of Delhi and the nation under BJP’s leadership.
