Anirudh Singh Inaugurates Nala Panchayat Bhawan

Shimla, October 6, 2025 — Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Bhawan at Nala and laid the foundation stones for three new link roads in Chiyog during his three-day tour of the Kusumpti Assembly constituency.
Addressing public gatherings at Chiyog, Dehna, Kadarb, and Nala, the Minister announced several development initiatives worth lakhs of rupees. He declared that citizens who donate land for government buildings under the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department would be honoured with name plaques installed on the respective buildings, with an official notification to be issued soon.
At Nala, he felicitated Bhoop Ram, who donated 8 biswa of land for the Panchayat Bhawan, and announced ₹30 lakh for the building’s second floor along with ₹25,000 each for two Mahila Mandals. He also assured action on other local demands.
In Chiyog, Singh announced ₹40 lakh for completing the ongoing Panchayat Bhawan construction, approved six roads under the FRA scheme, and directed immediate metalling work on the Chiyog Bazaar–Chiyog village road. He also announced ₹2 lakh for the Chadel road and ₹1 lakh for the Lahali road.
The Minister further stated that unutilized Panchayat funds, amounting to nearly ₹12,000 crore before 2023, would now be effectively spent and that land ownership in the Panchayat’s name would be mandatory for any new construction budget.
The event was attended by SDM Theog Dr. Major Shashank Gupta, BDO Ankit Kotia, local leaders, Panchayat representatives, and several dignitaries from the region.
