Naldhera (Kasumpti):
The Himachal Pradesh Government’s flagship outreach programme ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ was organized at the premises of Gram Panchayat Naldhera in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency on Saturday. The programme was presided over by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that under the directions of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the programme is being implemented across all districts and assembly constituencies of the state. He said the initiative aims to resolve public grievances at the panchayat level itself by issuing on-the-spot directions, ensuring that governance reaches the doorstep of people, especially in remote areas.
Over 5.10 lakh revenue cases resolved
Anirudh Singh said that land-related disputes often remain pending in courts for years and sometimes escalate into criminal cases. To address this, the state government launched a special revenue campaign in October 2023. Under the campaign, more than 5.10 lakh revenue cases have been settled across the state by December 2025, providing timely relief to the public.
Foundation stones laid for two roads
Earlier, the minister laid the foundation stones for two link roads—the Naldhera–Banredy (Odu) road and the Kogi–Dagog road—to be constructed at a cost of approximately ₹1.50 crore. He said the roads are being built in response to public demand to improve connectivity in panchayat areas. About ₹1 crore will be spent on the Banredy (Odu) road and ₹50 lakh on the Kogi–Dagog road. He assured that both projects would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The minister said around ₹200 crore is being spent on development works related to roads, education, health, electricity, drinking water, and rural development in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency. He added that work is underway on nearly 230 small and large roads, with formalities completed for more than 100 projects. He also announced that to address low-voltage issues in Naldhera and nearby panchayats, six transformers will be upgraded and 63 kV transformers installed before March 31.
Block-level sports competition inaugurated
Later, Anirudh Singh inaugurated a block-level sports competition organized by Adarsh Yuvak Mandal Sain in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Shimla at Sain village. He congratulated the organizers and urged youth to stay away from drugs and actively participate in sports and cultural activities along with education.
He informed that the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, in collaboration with the Youth Services and Sports Department, will organize sports competitions from the block to the state level, with the winning team receiving a government award of ₹21 lakh.
The minister also announced a grant of ₹50,000 to the youth club for organizing the competition and purchasing sports kits, assured fencing of the sports ground, and said a connecting road from Sain to Dayala would be constructed after completion of formalities.
Former Minister Rupdas Kashyap and several public representatives, officials, panchayat members, youth club members, and a large number of villagers and sports enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
