Shimla, September 12: Aniruddh Singh, the Minister of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development in Himachal Pradesh, has voiced his concerns over the ongoing debate surrounding the names ‘India’ and ‘Bharat’ in the country. He believes that unnecessary controversies are being created, diverting people’s attention from more crucial issues.
Recent discussions have reignited the debate over whether the country should be referred to as ‘India’ or ‘Bharat.’ This debate was sparked when, at the G-20 Summit, the nameplate for India had ‘Bharat’ written instead of ‘India’ on it. This change has generated significant discussions and debates.
Minister Aniruddh Singh criticized the central government’s efforts to emphasize this debate, stating that both names refer to the same nation. He stressed that the country should not engage in unnecessary discussions and controversies and should instead focus on more pressing matters.
He further mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently working on creating a series of issues in the lead-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, he expressed confidence in the intelligence of the Indian public, believing that they are aware of the attempts to divert their attention from essential issues.
Minister Aniruddh Singh encouraged the public not to pay undue attention to such debates and instead concentrate on matters that truly impact their lives.
