All Educational Institutions in Kullu, Banjar, and Manali to Remain Closed on August 30

Kullu, August 29: In view of the recent heavy rainfall that triggered landslides, blocked roads, and washed away a few pedestrian bridges in various parts of the district, the safety of students has become a major concern.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Mr. Torul S. Ravish, exercising powers under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, has ordered the closure of all educational institutions on August 30, 2025, in Kullu, Banjar, and Manali subdivisions.

The order applies to all government and private institutions including schools, colleges, DIET, ITIs, polytechnics, engineering and pharmacy colleges, as well as Anganwadi centres.
