After 3 days of rain & snow normalcy prevails in HP

Shimla, Apr 2 – After three days of incessant rainfall and snowfall, normalcy returned in the state as it mainly remained sunny or partly cloudy across the state on Sunday.
According to State Disaster Management Authority unprecedented rain and snowfall derailed life during the last 24 hours as a landslide killed a man in Chamba district and shooting stones hit a village in Kullu district.
In an incident of landslide which occurred at Village Chamdeu, Banjali Tehsil Salooni, in District Chamba Saturday night one person was trapped under debris. Unfortunately he was found dead by villagers when he was extricated.
The deceased was identified as Devi Prasad S/o Muhnu R/o village Jakhral. An incident of Shooting Stone occurred near Village Jindaud, Tehsil Kullu, District Kullu.
Due to heavy rainfall stones are falling from the hill since Saturday night. So far no loss of life is reported in the accident.
According to a report from Lahual Spiti, an incident Avalanche occurred at opposite mountain of Shooling village in sub division Lahaul. No loss has been reported in the incident, as per information received from Patwari of Gondala.
Minimum temperature was two to three degrees below normal in the state today as Shimla recorded 5.6 degrees and 3.6 below normal, Bhuntar and Kangra airport 10 degrees each, Kalpa 2 degrees Dharamshala 9.2 degrees, Una 9.7, Nahan 12.9, Keylong 0.2 degrees, Solan 7.2, Manali 6,Mandi 10.6, Bilaspur 11, Hamirpur 9.3, Chamba 9.9, Dalhousie 5.8, airport Jubberhatt 8, Kufri 2.1 and Narakanda 0.4 degrees.
