Admissions open for B Lib & ISc Programme at Nauni
2 min readDr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry has started admissions for its new academic programme- Bachelor’s in Library and Information Science (B Lib & ISc) program, beginning in the academic session 2024-25 starting from July 2024.
The duration of the course will be one year spread over a period of two semesters and will be offered in two modes that is Regular Mode and Distance Learning Mode.
Prospective applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50 percent marks. A total of 45 seats are available, with 30 seats allocated for the Regular Mode and 15 for the Distance Learning Mode. Admission will be based on merit, with a weightage of 40 percent for the 10+2 class and 60 percent for graduation.
For students opting for the Distance Learning Mode, attendance at contact classes in Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, for 15 days per semester is mandatory. Additionally, completion of a 30-day internship at the SatyaNand Stokes Library of the university is a requisite condition for both Regular and Distance Learning Modes.
The examination scheme for students in the Regular Mode will follow the Credit Base System adopted by Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni. Students enrolled in the Distance Learning Mode will undergo final practical and end term examinations, with a weightage of 25 percent for practical examination and 75 percent for the end term examination.

The duly filled application form, along with the required fee in the form of a bank draft, must be submitted by July 2, 2024. Late submissions with an additional fee will be accepted until July 8, 2024. Counseling will be conducted in person on July 18, 2024, at the university’s main campus in Nauni.
