Cong Accuses Anurag Thakur of Misleading People
1 min readShimla, April 26: Sanjay Awasthi, the executive president of Pradesh Congress and Chief Parliamentary Secretary, has accused Union Minister Anurag Thakur of attempting to mislead people by levelling baseless allegations against the Congress. Awasthi stated that the Congress’ manifesto aims to uphold justice against injustice prevailing in the country.
Awasthi emphasized that the Congress has never imposed illegal taxes on people or indulged in property confiscation. He reiterated that the right to private property belongs solely to its owner and their beneficiaries.
Awasthi highlighted that BJP appears unsettled by the Congress manifesto, which makes no mention of the government having authority over people’s property after coming to power. He criticized BJP for evading issues and attempting to mislead the public with inflammatory statements.
Awasthi questioned BJP’s record of employment generation during their tenure, contrasting their promises with the reality of rising unemployment. He raised concerns about the increasing prices, citing the surge in LPG gas cylinder prices from Rs. 450 during the UPA regime to over Rs. 1000 presently.
Awasthi noted the challenges faced by the country, including inflation and farmers’ demands for fair crop prices, which have not been addressed adequately. He criticized BJP’s policies and decisions, stating that the nation is troubled by BJP’s anti-people policies. He urged BJP to answer these questions instead of baselessly accusing the Congress of trivial matters like selling mangalsutra or property.
