Accused Held Within 24 Hours in Theog Murder Case

Shimla, March 2: Police at Theog Police Station have arrested a suspect within 24 hours in connection with a murder reported from Village Jarai, Tehsil Theog.
FIR No. 22/2026 was registered on February 28 under Section 103(1) (302 IPC) after Dhani Ram was found dead in an orchard accommodation. Based on CCTV footage, local inquiry, and digital evidence, police traced the accused Suresh to Village Sharmathu and arrested him on March 1.
Preliminary investigation suggests the accused allegedly committed the crime under the influence of alcohol due to a prior dispute. Further investigation is underway.
