Students and Faculty Take Oath
Mandi, March18 : Abhilashi University, Chail Chowk, Mandi, took a strong stand against drug abuse by organizing a Drug-Free Pledge Ceremony aimed at promoting a healthy academic environment. The event witnessed the participation of Vice Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary, Deans of various departments, faculty members, and students, all of whom pledged to keep themselves and their surroundings free from substance abuse.
The ceremony was held in the university auditorium, where Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi and Pro-Chancellor Dr. L.K. Abhilashi urged all members of the institution to actively contribute to the anti-drug campaign. They encouraged students to spread awareness, protect their families and communities from addiction, and ensure the university campus remains entirely drug-free.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary emphasized the harmful effects of drug abuse on the mental and physical health of youth. He stated, “Substance abuse poses a severe threat to the well-being and future of our youth. Through this pledge, we not only commit to staying away from drugs ourselves but also encourage our peers to do the same and create awareness.”
Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Devendra Sharma, led the oath-taking ceremony, where attendees vowed to abstain from substance abuse, educate others about its dangers, and work towards a drug-free society.
Abhilashi University has been actively organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and counseling sessions under its Drug-Free Initiative, ensuring students receive proper guidance to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.
The event concluded with a collective commitment to creating a safe, addiction-free educational environment. The occasion was graced by Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi, Pro-Chancellor Dr. L.K. Abhilashi, Vice Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary, Registrar Dr. Kapil Kapoor, Genius Education Society Chairperson Dr. Narvada Abhilashi, Abhilashi Education Society Vice Chairperson Dr. Promila Abhilashi, and Secretary Narendra Kumar.
