Abhilashi University Celebrates World Heart Day with Educational Activities

Chailchowk, Mandi – On Friday, September 29, 2023, the School of Physiotherapy at Abhilashi University celebrated the global occasion of ‘World Heart Day.’ The theme for this year, ‘Use heart, know heart,’ as designated by the World Heart Federation (WHF), was at the forefront of the event.

The celebration at Abhilashi University involved enthusiastic participation from the students of the School of Physiotherapy. They engaged in a poster-making competition and a quiz competition, both centered around the theme of World Heart Day. The winners of these competitions were recognized and awarded during the event.

The presence of the guest of honor, Dr. D.K. Mishra, Dean of the School of Ayurveda, along with Dr. Vivek Chauhan, Head of the Department, and faculty members from the Physiotherapy Department, added to the success of the event. Dr. D.K. Mishra emphasized the significance of physiotherapists in cardiac care, while Dr. Samriti Chauhan shed light on the importance of cardiac physiotherapy in everyday life and creating awareness about the theme.

The efforts of the students were highly praised by the distinguished guests present at the event. The event received blessings from Honorable Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi, Pro Chancellor Dr. L.K. Abhilashi, Vice Chancellor Dr. H.S. Banyal, Dr. Promila (Vice Chairperson, AES), Dr. Narbda Abhilashi, and Finance Officer Mr. Narender.

This celebration of World Heart Day at Abhilashi University served as a platform for education and awareness about heart health, with an emphasis on the vital role of physiotherapy in cardiac care.
