Una : Tragic Train Accident Claims Life in Bhadoliyan Kalan Village

Una, August 10: A tragic incident occurred yesterday morning in the village of Bhadoliyan Kalan in the district, where a person lost his life due to a horrific accident involving a train.

According to the information, the Himachal Express train, which runs from Delhi to Daulatpur Chowk, was passing through Una station on Wednesday morning just like any other day. During this time, upon reaching Bhadoliyan Kalan, a person lost his life as he was caught by the train. The railway employees on the train immediately informed the railway police about the incident, after which a team arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation. However, the identity of the deceased could not be established early in the morning. As soon as news of the incident spread, a large number of people, including representatives of several village panchayats, reached the scene. The victim was later identified as Surjit Singh (42), son of Gandharv Singh, a resident of Bahadala.

Achhar Pal, the Deputy Head of the Barasda Panchayat, who was present at the scene, stated that they received information about a person’s death due to being caught by a train and immediately rushed to the incident site. The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter, and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, the Railway Police have taken possession of the body and sent it to the Regional Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
