8th International PDGC Conference 2024 Begins in December

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering & Information Technology organised the 8th International Conference PDGC 2024 during December 18-20, 2024. The main objective of this conference was to provide a platform for global discussions on technology, design, innovation and sustainable development.
 
The conference was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Prof. Kishore Kothapalli, Dean (Academics), International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Dean (A&R) Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Gupta, in the presence of academicians, researchers and experts in various disciplines. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Dean welcomed the chief guest, participants and the audience. Dr. Vivek Kumar Sehgal, HoD CSE and IT and Dr. Pradeep Kumar, conference Chair and Dr. Aman Sharma, Co-Chair briefed the gathering bout the Conference.

Participation of around 1000 academicians, researchers and industry experts from 113 countries through various means was the major attraction of this hybrid event. Focus of the conference was on the topics such as Parallel and Distributed Algorithms, Cluster and Grid Computing, Big data applications, Parallel and distributed architectures and software distributed computing and databases, Networks,  Cloud and Big Data Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI Ethics, Blockchain, Biomedical and Health, Grid Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking, and Smart Technologies and foster Industry-Academia Coordination in the field of parallel, distributed and grid computing. The event provided a platform for researchers, academicians and industry experts to share their latest ideas and technological advancements.

This three-day conference will include several important research papers by eminent scientists and researchers. Keynote speakers will be Prof. Fatos Xhafa, Catedràtic d’Universitat, Barcelona, Spain, Prof. Tamas Kiss, Director, University of Westminster, London, UK, Prof. Dhabaleswar Panda, The Ohio State University, USA, Dr. Apurba Das, is the Global Technology Head for the Cognitive AI practice of TCS IoT and Digital Engineering unit. Other eminent speaker included, Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb, Michigan State University, Michigan, USA, Prof. D.P. Vidyarthi, JNU, New Delhi, and Prof. Kishore Kothapalli, IIIT Hyderabad. Prof. Kishore talked about graph based algorithms and their multimodal applications through parallel and dynamic graphs.

Vice chancellor sir mentioned that it is our responsibility to transfer our gained knowledge to younger generations and younger generations have to pass it to next generations further to make a knowledge transfer chain. Dean sir mentioned that the topic of this conference is a long lasting one as it is relevant in multiple aspects of life. The PDGC 2024 International Conference infused new energy in various fields of engineering, science and global cooperation, which will prove to be a milestone in the development of education, society and industry in future.
